If not for a colleague, I'd never known about Pony Penning or Misty, Thanks to her, I read the book Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry and saw the movie. I've gotten three other books by the same author: Stormy Misty's Foal, Sea Star, and Misty's Twilight. Midnight Mist is the latest descendant of Misty. It was quite an experience watching the wild ponies swim from one island to the other.
